Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi announced the national selection committee is evaluating the Champions Trophy squad at their discretion in February 2025. The national selection committee evaluated team players Khushdil Shah and Faheem Ashraf through informal discussions in Lahore yet possessed the power to modify the squad selection.
The Dubai visa problems that troubled fans have finally been resolved, according to Naqvi. Match cardholders or ticket owners seeking visas will now receive simplified access without problems. On February 16, the ICC will host its official Champions Trophy ceremony to welcome diplomatic attendees while the chairman revealed this information.
The PCB achieved an agreement with the ICC regarding Champions Trophy match passes that guarantees the board will obtain its specified revenue.
Naqvi introduced New Year development projects for stadium facilities, which will result in a five-star hotel construction at Gaddafi Stadium scheduled for completion by the following 12 months. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) will receive modernization through updated training areas that provide better facilities for players.
The PCB plans to increase revenue through a six-year period lease of 24 Gaddafi Stadium VIP boxes, each worth PKR 10 crore. Some VIP boxes will receive serial-based rentals, and further boxes will get long-term leases.
