Lahore: The main pillar of Hajj, Waquf-e-Arafah, was performed at Arafat Square during Hajj 2025, where millions of Muslims worshipped in a spiritual atmosphere. On this occasion, a Hajj sermon was delivered from Masjid Nimrah in which the Imam of the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid, gave important advice to the Muslim Ummah.
He said that piety is the true identity of a believer, and Allah opens the gates of Paradise for those who practice piety. He advised Muslims to avoid sins such as innovation, lying, arrogance, and backbiting and said that the righteous will always remain in Paradise.
Sheikh Saleh said that the highest level of faith is “Ihsan,” i.e., worship Allah as if He is seeing you. He considered good treatment of parents, keeping promises, modesty, and truthfulness as essential parts of religion.
At the end of the sermon, he made special supplications for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, support for oppressed Muslims, peace, and guidance.
