President Zardari Urges Social Protections in Budget 2025–26

ISLAMABAD: In an important meeting held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the political, economic, and financial situation of the country. The Prime Minister briefed the President on his recent visit to the UAE and the key components of the federal budget for 2025-26.

President Zardari stressed that the budget should prioritize the welfare of the common man, focusing on the salaried class, pensioners, laborers, and the economically weaker section. He called for practical measures to create employment opportunities and expand the social safety net for the marginalized sections of the society.

The meeting, which was attended by senior leadership, including Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Azam Nazir Tarar, and Saleem Mandviwala, reflects the government’s collaborative approach to budget formulation that addresses grassroots challenges.
