Standing committee not to close cases: Azam Nazir Tarar

Islamabad: Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, while addressing the National Assembly, took a dig at the opposition and made it clear that the job of standing committees is not to investigate the police or get anyone bail. He said that the rules of the committees were made jointly by all parties and their purpose is to monitor serious parliamentary matters, not to close cases.

The Law Minister criticized the opposition’s behavior and said that the opposition only criticizes but does not have the courage to listen to others. He said that PTI’s demand for NRO will never be fulfilled, and this behavior is a sign of a lack of seriousness.
