Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that transparency and rapid growth in the economy are not possible without a digital transaction system.
In the weekly meeting, he directed that immediate proposals be prepared on a cashless economy so that payments are easy for the public and businesses.
The meeting was briefed that the State Bank is formulating a strategy to facilitate digital payments, and the e-stamping service will be launched in Islamabad soon.
Rapid progress is being made towards the digital economy under the Digital Pakistan project.
