Lahore: There has been great news for Pakistan Railway employees, as after the approval of the Finance Division, the Railway has issued regular notification of the Dispersion Reduction Allowance and Ad Hoc Relief Allowance.
According to the details, railway officers and employees will be given 30% of the disparity reduction allowance on the basis of their basic salary on July 1, 2022, while a 10% ad hoc relief allowance will also be provided. Its purpose is to reduce the gap between salaries and provide partial protection from the effects of inflation.
Railway employees have expressed partial satisfaction over the move, but at the same time demanded that these allowances be paid according to the current 2024 salaries. He says the increase in the basic salary of 2022 is not possible to reduce the burden of inflation, and the government should increase salaries according to the current economic conditions.
Railway workers unions hope that the government will review it soon so that employees can get real relief.
