The 6th Day: A Call to Inner Reflection

The 6th of Ramadan is traditionally a day where the “routine” of the holy month sets in. The initial exhaustion of the first few days has faded, replaced by a spiritual “second wind”. Scholars often remind us that the first Ashra is about seeking Allah’s mercy not just for ourselves but for our neighbours.

In major cities like Lahore and Faisalabad, community dastarkhwans (public Iftar spreads) are now in full swing, embodying the Prophetic tradition of feeding the fasting person.

Weather and City Vibes

The weather across Pakistan today remains pleasant. Islamabad and the upper regions are enjoying a cool spring breeze, making the final hour before Iftar a perfect time for Dhikr (remembrance) in local parks or balconies. In Karachi, the humidity is beginning to climb, so residents are advised to prioritise hydration during the non-fasting hours.
