Lahore: The Government of Pakistan has launched a transparent and modern technology-based distribution of government financial assistance of Rs 13,500, under which a mobile-friendly web portal has been introduced at 8171.bisp.gov.pk to make payments to eligible women from BISP. This portal verifies on entering the CNIC number that the applicant is eligible or the payment has been completed and advises approaching the nearest BISP office if there is any problem with the biometric or NSER data.
Eligible women are those who have a PMT score of 34 or less, are not government employees, do not own old public assets or luxury vehicles, and have completed biometrics. If these conditions are not met, the portal automatically disqualifies them. Officials have said that this facility will be available till June 30, 2025, and its main objective is to effectively provide timely relief to the poor and vulnerable sections.
