Islamabad: In the first month of the fiscal year 2025-26, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) performed brilliantly and collected Rs6 billion 40 million more than the revenue target set for July.
According to the data released by the FBR, a revenue of Rs754 billion, 40 million was collected in July 2025, while the monthly target was set at Rs748 billion. Thus, the FBR achieved 100.9 percent of the target in the month of July.
Moreover, refunds worth Rs 81 billion were also paid during July, which is a positive sign for the business community.
According to the revenue breakdown:
- Income Tax: Rs 297 billion
- Sales Tax: Rs 304 billion
- Customs Duty: Rs 107 billion
- FDI: Rs 46 billion
Experts are calling this the positive impact of the recent tax reform measures taken by the government and the digital tracking system. The July performance is a good start to the financial year and has increased confidence in the economy.
