Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that in the budget of the next fiscal year, the government will provide relief to the salaried class and clarify the strategic direction of the economy. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad and talking to the media, he said that we are going to take big and bold decisions in the budget so that the economic system can be improved.
The Finance Minister said that India made every effort to derail Pakistan’s loan program in the IMF board, but Pakistan’s case was decided on the basis of merit, which is proof of the country’s economic seriousness.
He clarified that supporting the Pakistani armed forces is not only the army’s but also the country’s collective need, and the government will provide all possible cooperation. He said that national security and the economy are interconnected.
Muhammad Aurangzeb further said that the process of digitization is progressing rapidly in the FBR, and modern technology is being introduced to bring transparency to the tax system. Work is also underway on reforms in important areas such as energy, pensions, and climate change.
