Flood damage survey underway, artificial inflation will not be tolerated: Muhammad Aurangzeb

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said in a media interview that the government has declared a climate and agricultural emergency and all possible steps will be taken if necessary. He said that the top priority at the moment is immediate relief to the affected people, for this purpose regular surveys are being conducted to estimate the flood losses.

Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the country’s economy is moving towards improvement and we should focus only on national development and public welfare, above politics. He assured that the focus of the government’s policies is public relief and its positive results will be seen in the near future.

Referring to the situation in the global market, the Federal Minister said that the reduction in fuel prices has reduced the pressure of inflation at the global level. However, he clarified that artificial inflation within the country will not be tolerated under any circumstances and administrative measures are being taken to remedy it.
