Preparations are being made to introduce a new gas supply schedule to provide convenience to domestic consumers during Ramadan.
According to sources, gas availability has been limited due to the decrease in LNG imports, in view of which it has been decided to prioritize gas supply during Iftar and Sehri times.
Sui Southern Gas Company sources say that the company has decided to re-implement last year’s Ramadan gas schedule so that consumers can get gas during the important cooking times.
According to the proposed schedule, gas supply during Iftar times will start from 3 pm and continue till 9:30 pm. Similarly, gas supply during Sehri hours will be provided from 3 am to 9 am.
According to sources, during Ramadan, cooking hours in homes are more and the demand for gas also increases during these times. That is why it has been decided that the available quantity of gas should be provided at times when the consumers need it the most.
Company officials say that the aim of this change is to provide maximum convenience to domestic consumers so that they can prepare for Iftar and Sehri without any difficulty.
They said that the official announcement of this new schedule will be made soon and the public will be informed in advance so that they can organize their daily routines accordingly.
Experts associated with the energy sector say that this method of gas supply during Ramadan can prove to be an effective strategy as it allows for better use of limited resources.
According to experts, ensuring gas supply during Iftar and Sehri hours will benefit a large number of domestic consumers and will make it easier for fasting people to prepare food.
On the other hand, consumers have also been appealed to use gas with caution and avoid unnecessary consumption.
Officials say that if consumers use gas responsibly, it will help in better functioning of the entire system.
This new schedule during Ramadan will not only create convenience for consumers but will also ensure better distribution of gas despite the limited supply of LNG.
