Islamabad: Good news has come for the people burdened by the burden of inflation. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a significant reduction in LPG prices from August 1.
According to the notification issued by OGRA, the price of LPG per kg has been reduced by Rs 17.73 to Rs 215.37. After this reduction, the price of a 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has become Rs 2541.36 paisa, which was Rs 2750.60 paisa in July.
Experts say that the price reduction is due to improved supply in the summer and a decrease in international prices. However, consumers demand that this reduction should be practically reflected in the market, as most retailers do not implement the official price.
According to OGRA officials, instructions have been issued to regional offices to strictly monitor prices in the market and take action against violations.
