Investors faced a bearish trend on the Pakistan Stock Exchange during the last trading week, as a result of which the KSE 100 Index closed at 153,866 points with a decrease of 3629 points.
According to market data, the index witnessed significant volatility throughout the week and the index continued to trade in a wide band of 14,505 points.
During this period, the market recorded a weekly high of 158,624 points while the low was 144,119 points.
In terms of business activity, investors participated actively. During the week, 2.25 billion shares were bought and sold, worth about Rs 132 billion.
However, the total value of the market saw a decline, and the market capitalization decreased by Rs 369 billion to Rs 17,329 billion.
According to financial experts, the direction of the market next week will depend on economic policies, interest rate trends, and investor confidence.
