The business week on the Pakistan Stock Exchange ended with a bearish trend. The Hundred Index fell by 502 points, after which the index closed at 163,304 points.
During the entire week, the index fluctuated in a wide band of 5,372 points, which highlighted the uncertainty in the market. According to the data, the highest level of the index was 168,414 points, while the lowest level was recorded at 163,041 points.
In terms of business activities, 7.41 billion shares were traded, worth about Rs 248 billion. The market capitalisation fell by Rs153 billion due to the downturn, and the total value fell to Rs18,814 billion.
Investors say that financial and political uncertainty is affecting market confidence.
