Karachi: Investors showed keen interest on the first day of the trading week at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, but by the end of the day, the market witnessed a mixed trend. In early trading, the 100 index rose by a whopping 870 points, and the index reached 140,077 points.
However, volatility increased in the market during trading, and the 100 index fell after touching the highest level of the day at 140,149 points. With a slight improvement in the closing moments, the index closed at 139,380 points, up 172 points.
Today, 580 million shares worth around Rs 34 billion were traded in the Pakistan Stock Market. It should be remembered that the market closed at 139,207 points on the last day of last week, so today can be called a positive day overall.
