The silver rate in Pakistan recorded a notable decline on Monday, with the price of one tola of silver settling at Rs8,092 in local Sarafa markets amid fluctuations in the international bullion market.

According to market data released on May 18, 2026, the price of 10 grams of silver stood at Rs6,936, while the rate for one gram was recorded at Rs693.6.

Bullion traders said silver prices remained under pressure after recent volatility in global precious metal markets, though demand from local buyers and jewellery traders continued to provide some support.

The latest figures show that silver prices have fallen significantly compared to recent highs touched earlier this month. Market analysts linked the downward trend to changing international commodity prices and cautious investor activity.

  • Silver per 10 Grams: Rs6,936
  • Silver per Gram: 693.6

Traders in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Multan reported nearly identical rates across major bullion markets.

Experts believe silver remains an attractive investment option for middle-income buyers due to its comparatively lower price than gold. Industrial demand for silver in electronics and renewable energy sectors is also helping maintain long-term market interest globally.

Financial analysts noted that investors are closely monitoring international economic developments, inflation trends, and currency movements, which continue to influence local bullion prices in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, jewellers said wedding-season demand may provide temporary stability to silver prices in coming weeks despite ongoing fluctuations in global markets.

The value of 52.5 tolas of silver — commonly used as the Nisab benchmark for Zakat calculations — currently stands at around Rs424,830 based on today’s market rate.

Market observers expect silver prices to remain volatile in the short term as traders respond to international market signals and local demand patterns.
