Silver Market Analysis & Zakat (Nisab) Outlook

Pakistan's silver market experienced a steady and unchanged trading session today, with the domestic silver rate maintaining its position at Rs. 7,102 per tola on 10 June 2026. Local bullion dealers kept their daily rate sheets completely flat, tracking horizontal global spot price movements and an overall calm in local retail buying momentum.

From a business perspective, silver continues to draw attention because of its dual role as an investment asset and an industrial metal. Demand from sectors such as solar energy, electronics, semiconductors and electric vehicles remains a key factor influencing global silver prices and long-term market sentiment.

Market activity across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and other major bullion centres remained balanced, with investors closely watching economic indicators, inflation trends and exchange-rate developments. Dealers noted that silver continues to attract buyers seeking portfolio diversification amid broader market uncertainty.

Based on today's silver rate, the Islamic Nisab threshold of 52.5 tolas is estimated at exactly Rs. 372,855, serving as a key benchmark for Zakat calculations on eligible wealth held for one lunar year.

Analysts expect silver prices to remain sensitive to global economic developments, industrial demand and central-bank policy signals. While short-term fluctuations are likely, the metal's strategic importance in manufacturing and renewable-energy technologies continues to support its long-term market relevance.
