The latest interbank and open market rates of the US dollar have been revealed in Pakistan on Wednesday. Business in the domestic foreign exchange market continued as usual, while the dollar price remained slightly different between the two markets.
According to the latest data, the US dollar is being bought in the interbank market for Rs 277.75 while it is being sold for Rs 278.25. On the other hand, the purchase of the dollar in the open market was recorded at Rs 278.75 and the sale at Rs 278.95.
According to financial experts, the slight difference between the interbank and open market rates is a normal trend that is affected by supply and demand, banking transactions and the situation in the global currency market. These factors lead to limited fluctuations in foreign exchange rates on a daily basis.
Latest dollar rates are of particular importance to importers, exporters, overseas Pakistanis and businesses, as many financial decisions related to international payments, import costs and remittances are made on the basis of these exchange rates.
Although no major fluctuations were reported in the market today, currency market participants are constantly monitoring the movement of the dollar in view of global economic trends and local demand.
