Karachi: The interbank market experienced a small dollar rate upsurge, which pushed the US dollar value from 278.95 PKR to 279.04 PKR today in Karachi. Before today, the exchange rate for a dollar reached 278.95 PKR.
The experts noted that this small change in the dollar rate maintains its position within normal market volatility patterns, which result from global economic conditions and supply-demand dynamics. The growing dollar rate produces effects on export and import values, which also reduce public buying power.
The State Bank of Pakistan, alongside government institutions, implements stabilization measures for the dollar rate, yet additional market changes will occur based on global economic patterns.
Experts stress that social and economic development, together with international capital participation, will lead to dollar rate stability.
