Rajab, the seventh month of the Islamic calendar, is one of the four sacred months mentioned in the Quran:
“Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months… of these, four are sacred…” (Surah At-Tawbah: 9:36)
This sacred month is a time for increased worship, seeking forgiveness, and preparing for Ramadan. Muslims are encouraged to perform additional prayers, fast, and engage in charitable deeds during Rajab.
