Important meeting between Shahbaz Sharif and King of Bahrain: a new era of mutual cooperation begins

In a meeting held between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the Royal Palace in Manama, the two countries have decided to further strengthen cooperation in political, economic, defence and cultural sectors. This meeting between Pakistan and Bahrain is being described as the beginning of a new era of bilateral relations in the region.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan’s strong desire to move forward in the field of trade and investment. He said that Pakistan wants to further expand economic partnership with the Gulf countries. The two leaders agreed that the long-standing defence cooperation will be further deepened.

On this occasion, the King of Bahrain presented the Prime Minister of Pakistan with the country’s highest civilian award, the “Order of Bahrain”. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa also mentioned the historical fact that Bahrain has the honour of being legally represented by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which is a sign of the long-standing relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa upon his arrival in Manama, where he was presented with a guard of honor. Shahbaz Sharif thanked the Bahraini leadership for the warm welcome and said that Pakistan is eager to take the relations between the two countries to a new level.
