Islamabad – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar’s next diplomatic trips to Malaysia and Bangladesh in February are under preparation; diplomatic sources verified on Saturday.
Officials claim that after an official invitation was issued by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Ishaq Dar is expected to be visiting Malaysia from February 3 to February 5. Aiming to improve bilateral ties between the two countries, the Foreign Office has started completing the trip plans and preparations.
Ishaq Dar is scheduled to see the foreign minister of Malaysia during his visit; conversations should center on trade, investment, and regional cooperation. Additionally expected are meetings with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and other influential people, thereby strengthening diplomatic relations.
Apart from Malaysia, Ishaq Dar will visit Bangladesh next month at the request of Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. This visit emphasizes Pakistan’s will to strengthen regional alliances and investigate joint projects in sectors of strategic and economic importance.
Both trips represent a major turning point in Pakistan’s continuous attempts to strengthen diplomatic and commercial ties within the area.
