ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly rejected the Israeli cabinet’s plan to take control of Gaza, saying that the move is a dangerous escalation in the war against the Palestinian people and will further aggravate the already worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The prime minister warned that the decision would destroy all prospects for peace in the region. He said that the international community should not ignore the root causes of this ongoing tragedy, as sustainable peace in the region is not possible without resolving these issues.
