Peshawar: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir attended an important national jirga held in Peshawar in which the political leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, tribal elders, and members of parliament were also present.

Addressing the jirga, the prime minister appreciated the sacrifices and historical role of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that this region stood with Pakistan at the time of the referendum in 1947 and even today its people are raising the flag of Pakistan.
