President Erdogan once again won the hearts of the Pakistani people, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has won the hearts of the people of Pakistan by showing full solidarity with Pakistan in the recent tense situation.

He said this during a meeting with Turkish Ambassador Irfan Naziroglu on Monday. Bilateral relations, the regional situation, and mutual cooperation were discussed in the meeting.

The Prime Minister thanked President Erdogan for Pakistan’s unconditional support during tensions with India, saying that Pakistan-Turkey relations have stood every test and the brotherly relations between the two countries have become stronger with time.

Shehbaz Sharif said the armed forces responded strongly and effectively to the enemy through “Operation Baniyan Mursos” and made it clear that Pakistan would not compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

On the occasion, the Turkish Ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on the successful strategy at the military and diplomatic levels and said that the people of Turkey pay tribute to Pakistan’s steadfastness and efforts for peace.

The Turkish ambassador further said that Turkey has always stood by Pakistan and cooperation between the two countries will continue at all levels.
