Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari, in a special message to the nation on the occasion of Easter, said that Easter reminds us of the high moral values of compassion, sacrifice, and forgiveness, as well as the message of hope, renewal, and celebration of life.
The President said that the Constitution of Pakistan provides equal rights to the minorities and the state is continuously working for their protection, development, and empowerment. He lauded the role of the Pakistani Christian community, saying it has been an active and positive force in the country’s reconstruction.
