Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif pays tribute to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, lauds struggle for democracy

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid tribute to former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto Shaheed on her martyrdom anniversary and said that Benazir Bhutto fought an unparalleled struggle for democracy, public rights and the stability of the federation of Pakistan.

In his message, the Prime Minister said that Benazir Bhutto promoted tolerance and forbearance in the political process, which is a clear proof of her political insight and democratic thinking. He said that the spirit of patriotism is prominently reflected in Benazir Bhutto’s political legacy.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the services of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for the country and the nation will always be remembered. She took valuable steps to strengthen the role of women and protect the rights of minorities, which are still a beacon of light today.

The Prime Minister said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto took practical steps to make Pakistan a peaceful, progressive and democratic state. Her sacrifices and services are a source of guidance for the entire nation.

He reiterated the resolve that the journey of tolerance, forbearance, rule of law and public welfare will be taken forward. Finally, the Prime Minister prayed that Allah Almighty grant Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto a high position in the realm of mercy and grant patience to her family and loved ones, Amen.
