Upon his arrival at the Al-Yamama Palace in Riyadh, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was welcomed with royal protocol by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Prime Minister was also presented with a guard of honor, which shows the importance of the visit.
According to the statement, the meeting discussed the current situation in the Middle East, the Palestinian issue, and peace and stability in the region. The two leaders made it clear that the Israeli attacks on Qatar are unacceptable and condemned it.
The Saudi Crown Prince said that a permanent solution to the Palestinian issue is indispensable for peace in the Middle East. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also reiterated Pakistan’s unequivocal position and said that Pakistan always stands with Saudi Arabia.
This meeting is not only an indication of further development of Pak-Saudi relations but also a sign of increasing cooperation between the two countries in the changing situation in the region.
