Second phase of CPEC: Security of Chinese citizens Pakistan’s first goal

Islamabad: Before the start of the second phase of CPEC in Pakistan, the government has taken an important decision and announced it will give top priority to the security of Chinese residents in the country.

In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, it was decided that the new phase of CPEC cannot be successful without the protection of the Chinese community.

The Prime Minister said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is not limited to the official level only, but it is a manifestation of public trust. He said that a more secure, convenient, and business-friendly environment will be ensured for Chinese citizens.

In the briefing of the Interior Minister, it was said that the federation and all provinces are working in complete coordination on the security of Chinese residents. The installation of Safe City cameras is being accelerated, and security has been tightened in sensitive areas.

The Prime Minister directed measures to facilitate the movement of Chinese citizens, especially at airports, so that they can be provided with all possible assistance.
