Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has invited opposition parties to talks again. In the National Assembly session, the Speaker made it clear that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Law Minister have tried to talk to the opposition before, and they are ready for talks today too.
An interesting conversation took place between the Speaker and Mahmood Khan Achakzai during the session. Achakzai said that he cannot talk to the Speaker because he is not a real representative, to which Ayaz Sadiq replied that I have defeated your leader twice and am still available for talks. The Speaker said that the opposition is making excuses to run away from dialogue, but if talks take place, the matter will move forward.
Later, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar said that the opposition members were evicted from the Parliament House, and our people were martyred during the events of November 26. He said that the Chief Minister is also not able to meet his leader; however, we will always stand with Pakistan.
The Speaker clarified that his job is to facilitate the talks, and the opposition’s boycott is affecting the process of talks.
