Islamabad: Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan has said that India’s aggressive posture and acquisition of modern weapons are adversely affecting the security balance in the region. Refusing to comment on the reported secret visit of Afghanistan’s defense minister to India, he said Pakistan expects that friendly relations will never be used against it.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan does not interfere in the relations between sovereign states, but India’s role has been negative and provocative in the region. Pakistan gave a befitting reply to the enemy through Operation ‘Baniyan Mursos” against the Indian aggression and shot down six warplanes. He said Pakistan was fully prepared to deal with any situation.
The Foreign Office spokesperson further said that Pakistan has evidence of India promoting terrorism in Pakistan, which has been presented at the international level. India has been found involved in subversive activities not only in Pakistan but also in other countries.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan has been raising its voice against terrorism at the global level and considers the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue as indispensable for regional stability. He said Pakistan has never shied away from talks, but it requires a conducive atmosphere and a serious attitude.
