LAHORE: Bringing relief to thousands of students and educational institutions, the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairman (PBCC) has officially announced the extension of the last date for registration of class 9 students in all education boards of the province.
The new deadline, which was earlier scheduled to end this week, has now been extended, giving more time to students and schools to complete the registration process without any delay fees. The decision comes amid increasing requests from parents and school administrations citing delays due to documentation and school reopening schedules.
According to a PBCC spokesperson, the extension applies to all nine education boards of Punjab, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Sahiwal, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
“All government and private institutions affiliated with the boards are advised to complete the online registration of their Class 9 students within the new timeline,” the spokesperson said. “No further extension will be given after the final date.”
The registration process is being done online through the official portals of each board, and institutions are urged to ensure the accuracy of data to avoid complications during the exams.
Education experts have welcomed the decision, saying it will reduce the burden on schools dealing with administrative delays while also benefiting students who missed the initial deadline due to unforeseen reasons.
Students and parents are encouraged to check their respective board websites for the latest registration schedules and guidelines.
