Punjab government has decided to declare a holiday for educational institutions from May 28.

LAHORE: The Punjab government has officially declared a holiday in all government and private educational institutions in view of the severity of summer. According to the Punjab Education Minister, Rana Sikander Hayat, educational institutions will remain closed from May 28, 2025.

Earlier, the Punjab Education Department had announced holidays from June 1 to August 9; however, the dates of the holidays have been changed in advance in view of the severity of the weather. The education minister said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the health and well-being of students and teachers.
