Pakistan Stock Exchange rallied sharply; the 100 index closed with a gain of 3,647 points

    KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange today witnessed a huge rally during the crucial day of the business week, where the 100 index closed at a new high of 107,174 points with a significant gain of 3,647 points. The increase reflects positive news on the country’s economy and investor confidence.

    The index remained in the band of 5,120 points during the trading day, which is a manifestation of intense volatility and rich trading activity in the market. A total of 51 crore shares worth Rs 28.8 billion were traded today.

    Significant improvement was also seen in the market capitalization, which increased from Rs 367 billion to Rs 12,893 billion. On the last trading day, the index closed at 103,526 points, compared to which today proved to be very profitable for investors.
