819 deaths due to monsoon and floods in Pakistan, thousands of houses affected – WHO report

The World Health Organization (WHO) has revealed in its latest report that 819 people lost their lives in Pakistan due to recent monsoon rains and flash floods, while 1,111 citizens were injured.

According to the report, 493 men, 123 women and 203 children are among the dead, while a large number of men and women are among the injured.

Monsoon rains affected 8,658 houses, of which 2,070 were completely destroyed and 6,588 were partially damaged. The floods have also affected 104 health centers, making it more difficult to provide medical services.

These figures show that Pakistan is facing major challenges not only in terms of natural disasters but also in terms of infrastructure and health system.

Experts say that urgent measures are indispensable for the rehabilitation of victims and immediate repair of public health centers.
