Pakistan has reacted strongly to the recent statements of the Indian Foreign Minister, saying that India is resorting to frivolous allegations to cover up the rising tension in the region and its policy failures.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said that India’s stance on terrorism itself contradicts its practical actions. According to him, cases like Kulbhushan Jadhav are undeniable examples of India’s sabotage in Pakistan.

The spokesperson said that India has been accused of secret operations, target killings and supporting networks not only in neighbouring countries but also in other states, which the international community should seriously consider.

He further said that India’s military presence and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir are the major causes of instability in the region, while Hindutva ideology is further fuelling hatred and violence.

Talking about the Indus Waters Treaty, the spokesperson said that violation of this treaty could prove dangerous not only for Pakistan but for the entire region, and Pakistan will fully defend its rights under international law.
