Lahore: Under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Scheme 2025 (low-income families), the Punjab government has announced it will provide interest-free loans of up to Rs 15 lakh for the poor and middle class so that deserving people who want to build their own house can build their own house.
This scheme is for those who have land of 1 to 5 marla in urban areas or 10 marla in rural areas but do not have a house. As per the individual eligibility criteria, the applicant should be married and head of the family as per NADRA. Persons with previous loans or criminal records are not eligible for the scheme.
How to apply:
- Register online or on the web portal acag.punjab.gov.pk, or call 0800‑09100.
- Create a user account by entering CNIC, the CNIC of the father/husband, and complete personal details.
- After registration, fill out the security certificate form and verify eligibility.
- Complete the application form, and upload the necessary documents (ID card, land ownership, and background).
- Submit the form and monitor the status through the online application tracking system.
- Eligible persons will be selected through a transparent draw. The loan will be released to the selected persons after verification of land.
Loan Features:
- Loan Amount: Rs. 1.5 million interest-free
- After approval, the loan is to be repaid in easy installments of seven years
- Exemption from installments for the first 3 months
- The monthly installment is approximately Rs. 14,000

This scheme is ongoing in almost every district of Punjab except the major cities of Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi, while in the first phase, about 5,000 houses will be constructed in Lahore.
