A large-scale reform and restructuring process is underway in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). According to the spokesperson, the organization has been divided into three regions and two new zones under the new operational structure.
Now, the North, Central and South regions will work under the leadership of Additional IG. The North region will include Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Peshawar and Kohat, the Central region will include Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Multan, while the South region will include Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Balochistan.
The Gilgit-Baltistan zone and Sukkur zone have also been added to the new structure. The Gilgit zonal office will be established in Gilgit city, while the Sukkur zonal office will be established in Sukkur.
According to the FIA, the aim of this restructuring is to make public service more effective and prompt so that the problems of citizens can be resolved in their own areas.
