Islamabad: Federal Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Iran responded to the US attack in a dignified and effective manner and then emerged from the crisis.
While holding a news conference in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar said that the Iranian leadership retaliated against the US military base in Qatar, which proved that Iran is not interested in protecting its sovereignty. He said that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran is still in place and the situation in the region is relatively calm.
Ishaq Dar said that during the Iranian president’s speech in the parliament, the parliamentarians raised slogans of gratitude for Pakistani support, which reflects the strong relations between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister said that he had a warm meeting with the President of Turkey on the sidelines of the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. As a result of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, a special session was held on the issue of Iran in the OIC, while a meeting of the Contact Group was also called on occupied Kashmir.
He added that Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey were the founding members of the RCD in the past, which was later expanded to form the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and this alliance is still the basis of regional cooperation.
