Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly rejected the statements made in the Indian Lok Sabha regarding “Operation Sindoor”, calling them contrary to the facts and provocative.
Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said in a weekly press briefing that India attacked Pakistan without any transparent investigation, although Pakistan had offered an independent investigation, which India rejected.
The spokesperson said that India committed aggression on the intervening night of May 6-7, in which innocent civilians lost their lives. He termed Indian claims regarding “Operation Mahadev” as baseless stories and said that India itself is trying to become the judge, jury and executioner.
Pakistan also completely rejected India’s aggressive narrative of “new normal”. The spokesperson said that Pakistan had given a befitting reply to Indian aggression in May 2025, and India has completely failed to achieve its strategic goals.
Shafqat Ali Khan said that Pakistan supports peace and dialogue in the region, but India is continuously spoiling the atmosphere through provocations. He also revealed that the Iranian President will visit Pakistan on August 2-3 and there were discussions on cooperation in IT, economy and counter-terrorism in relations with the US.
