Internet Speed slow down in Pakistan

Frustratingly slow internet speeds are affecting users across Pakistan, making it difficult to upload and download data. The problem, according to experts, stems from a technical fault in the undersea internet cables located near the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

A spokesperson from PTCL explained that two key international cable systems, IMEWE and SMW4, have been partially impacted. This is causing a noticeable drop in speed, especially during peak hours when internet usage is highest.

In response, PTCL has taken immediate action, rerouting traffic to alternative bandwidth to help minimize the disruption. The company is also working with its international partners, who are racing to repair the cable fault as quickly as possible.

PTCL has cautioned that the repair and restoration process will take some time, but they have their local and international teams on the job, working to ensure that the service disruptions are kept to a minimum until everything is fully restored.
