Iran and US face off in Strait of Hormuz, threaten to stop oil shipments

Tensions between Iran and the US have once again intensified, with strong statements coming from the leadership of both countries.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have announced that ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz will now be allowed under certain conditions. According to Iranian officials, only countries that decide to expel the US and Israeli ambassadors in their countries will be able to benefit from this important sea route.

Iran maintains that such measures have become necessary in the context of the ongoing tensions and attacks in the region in order to protect its interests.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important sea routes through which a large amount of oil reaches different countries globally. Therefore, increasing tensions in this area could also create unrest in the global energy market.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that if Iran tries to affect shipping in the Strait of Hormuz or disrupt oil shipments, the United States will take strong action.

He said that securing global energy supplies is a priority for the United States and its allies and no disruption will be tolerated in this regard.

Trump said that the United States is fully prepared to respond effectively to any potential threat together with its allies.

In response to the US statement, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has also reacted strongly, saying that Iran will decide to end the war.

According to the Revolutionary Guard Corps, if the US and Israel’s actions continue, Iran may take steps to completely stop oil exports from the region.

Iranian officials say that any aggression imposed on Iran will be met with a strong response and the country will take all possible measures to defend its interests and sovereignty.

According to experts, if tensions in the Strait of Hormuz increase further, it could also have an impact on global oil prices and energy supplies.
