Pakistan has made important contacts to strengthen relations with Bangladesh and Qatar, further energizing regional diplomacy. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held detailed discussions with senior diplomatic officials of both countries in separate telephonic conversations on promoting mutual cooperation.
According to Foreign Office sources, Ishaq Dar reviewed bilateral relations during his talks with Bangladeshi Advisor on Foreign Affairs Towhid Hussain. The two leaders agreed on the possibilities of expanding trade, investment and economic ties.
The current regional and global situation was also discussed in the conversation, while the importance of maintaining continuous contacts for safeguarding common interests and peace and stability in South Asia was highlighted.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister also contacted Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khelaifi. The two personalities discussed the possibilities of further strengthening Pak-Qatar relations and increasing cooperation in various fields. According to diplomatic experts, these contacts are part of Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy and efforts to promote economic and political partnership in the region.
