Tianjin: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pak-China friendship has always proven its durability in every difficult time. Addressing the students and faculty during his visit to Tianjin University, the Prime Minister said that these relations are based on mutual trust, respect and sincerity.
The Prime Minister said that the partnership between Pakistan and China is as old as the Silk Road, the two countries are tied in historical and cultural ties. He said that Pakistan was the first country in the Muslim world to recognize the People’s Republic of China, while the poet of the East Allama Iqbal predicted the development of China a century ago.
He added that currently more than 200 Pakistani students are studying at Tianjin University who will play a significant role in the development of Pakistan in the future.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the way China has lifted millions of people out of poverty is a model for the world. According to him, President Xi Jinping’s vision of shared prosperity is inspiring at the global level. The Prime Minister said that poverty eradication is the top priority of his government and Pakistan’s 60 percent youth population is the real strength of the country.
