Pakistan’s energy sector has achieved a major breakthrough through the use of modern technology, with OGDCL successfully starting crude oil production from the Pasakhi-13 well.
Company officials say that the 460 barrels per day production achieved through this horizontal drilling technology is of utmost importance for the country’s economy and energy security.
The latest technology used in this project has made access to underground oil reserves easier and more efficient, which was not possible through conventional wells. OGDCL is calling this success a key model for the future, on the basis of which more modern projects will be started.
According to officials, this increase in hydrocarbon production at the local level will not only save foreign exchange but will also make it easier to meet the country’s energy demand.
