Pakistan invited by US President to join Gaza Peace Board

A Foreign Office spokesperson has said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has been invited by US President Donald Trump to join the “Board of Peace” established for Gaza. Through this initiative, Pakistan will play an active role in international efforts for peace and security in Gaza.
The Foreign Office has said that Pakistan will maintain its position in accordance with the United Nations resolutions for a sustainable solution to the Palestinian issue. The spokesperson further said that international cooperation is indispensable for the establishment of lasting peace in Gaza and Pakistan will play its full role in this regard.
This invitation is an important reflection of Pakistan’s mediation and peace-loving policy at the global level, which will provide Pakistan with an opportunity to contribute effectively to global peace initiatives.
