PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has said that the last few years of Pakistan have proven to be the worst for the country, and those who supported the founder PTI are the ones who are really responsible for this situation. He said, “Those who used to call others thieves and robbers, today could not live up to their own claims.”
Addressing the members of the assembly, Nawaz Sharif said that the by-elections made it clear that the people voted for performance and completely rejected the politics of sedition and corruption. He said that after the departure of the PML-N, the country’s economic structure was badly affected and the responsibility for all the shortcomings from 2018 to 2022 lies with the former government.
He said that the current government, through hard work and planning, not only saved the country from default but also took effective steps to reduce the pressure of inflation. According to him, the pace of the government’s development programs is now increasing significantly.
Nawaz Sharif further said that in the previous era, failure on the foreign front, continuous appointment crisis, massacre of merit and weakness of institutions had harmed Pakistan. He claimed that in one and a half years, the PML-N has established a record of service.
Mentioning the ongoing projects in Punjab, he said that the construction of 120,000 houses for poor families in the province, free treatment, construction of modern hospitals, improvement in transport and significant progress in law and order are the major achievements of the current government.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said in her address that the PML-N has never decided to back down from political action, no matter how tough the situation. She said that the people today understand very well that slogans are one thing and practical service is another.
She reminded that during the previous government, politics was made into personal enmity, opponents were repeatedly sent to jail and development projects were stopped. “Every time a new conspiracy group was brought to the fore, but the people recognized the truth every time.”
Maryam Nawaz said that today the hard work of the PML-N workers is paying off, and Nawaz Sharif himself says that Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have come forward on the basis of performance.
