Peshawar: In the elections to the 11 Senate seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took the lead by winning 6 seats, while the opposition alliance won 5 seats.
All 145 members of the assembly participated in the voting, where 7 general, 2 women, and 2 technocrat seats were contested.

According to the unconfirmed and unofficial results, PTI candidates won 4 out of 7 general seats:
Murad Saeed—26 votes
Faisal Javed—22 votes
Mirza Afridi—21 votes
Noorul Haq Qadri—21 votes
From the opposition alliance:
- Niaz Ahmed (PML-N)
- Talha Mahmood (PPP)
- Atta-ul-Haq (JUI) was successful.
Results on women’s seats:
- Rubina Naz (PTI)
- Rubina Khalid (PPP)
Results on technocrat seats:
- Azam Swati (PTI)
- Dilwar Khan (JUI)
While disgruntled PTI candidate Khurram Zeeshan could not get any votes.
