President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a joint meeting during discussions on important political issues at the federal level, the priority of which was possible in-house change in Azad Kashmir, the next stage of government formation, and government affairs under mutual relations.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister presented the details of his recent visit to Saudi Arabia to the President, along with which a briefing was also given on the political matters of the government. In addition, the two discussed the ongoing tension on the Pak-Afghan border in detail and considered the name of the new Prime Minister and the possibility of forming a provincial government in Azad Kashmir.
Other leaders present at the meeting included Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Mohsin Naqvi, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Rana Sanaullah, Azam Nazir Tarar, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Sherry Rehman, and Farooq H. Naik. Ishaq Dar participated through video link, which further expanded the scope of the meeting.
This discussion has come in the context that the prospects of government formation in the Azad Kashmir assembly are increasing and the ruling parties are preparing for the next phase.
